I'm so sorry about your cat. I know I'm a couple weeks late with my condolences, but I lost my beloved cat almost two years ago and I still miss him terribly. It's so hard to say goodbye when they've been our friends for so long.
I'm glad you didn't have to make the difficult decision about having him put down. We had to decide what to do and it was horrible. He was sick and hurting, but it was still a terrible choice to make.
Maybe our kitties are playing together up there...
