It's Finally Down

Sunday the 25th, after playing Wii Fit (of course), we finally took down the Christmas decorations. I know, I can't believe we left the decorations up that long. We were just really busy and hadn't had time to take them down. The house looks so nice and less crowded (almost empty) without the Christmas decorations up. I put the Valentine's Day decorations out. I like decorating for the holidays or seasons. It's a fun way to celebrate. And I get to showcase my Avon products.

Elmo's Green Thumb

Saturday the 24th Dave, Kaitlynn, my mom, Dave's mom and I went to see Elmo's Green Thumb. I got free tickets from MomsLikeMe.com. It wasn't an event we had to work at, so it was kind of nice.
My mom bought Kaitlynn a Zoe doll and the Elmo twirly thing.

Kaitlynn enjoyed the first part of the show. She danced and ate (nachos with cheese).
We had to get Kaitlynn an Elmo balloon, even though they were $10.
Mommy, MawMaw, Grandma, Kaitlynn and Daddy
Kaitlynn didn't want to sit through the second part of the show. She is not a TV person and doesn't like to sit still for too long. I was just happy she watched the first part of the show. We stayed for the whole thing, but my mom took Kaitlynn out to walk around a few times.
Kathy bought this hat for Kaitlynn. It actually came in handy since I left her hat in the car.
Kaitlynn fell asleep as soon as we got to the car. We met Dave's brother and sister at T.G.I. Friday's for lunch. Kaitlynn slept through lunch too. She was a tired baby!
After lunch we all came back to the house, where Dave's brother entertained us while he played Wii Fit.

Toddler Fun and Babysitting

Thursday Kaitlynn and I attended her Toddler Fun class at the Early Childhood Center. The theme this week was winter wonderland. They made snowmen, played in shaving cream, played with play-doh, decorated a mitten, and played in this slimy stuff. Most everything else was the same as last week (free play, circle time with welcome and good-bye songs, snack time, ring a round the rosie, and scarves).
Here is her artwork!
After class, we stayed and hung out in the Common Area with Tara, Bailey, Stephanie and Payton.
Stephanie and Payton pulled Bailey and Kaitlynn around in the wagon.
The girls loved being pulled around.

Maryam brought Hasnain over for me to watch. Kaitlynn was in rare form as she didn't want to share anything with him. Oh and the other thing she has been doing since Tuesday is calling him Stinky. I think she says this because whenever she has a BM, I tell her stinky. Sometimes, she will tell me stinky when she has had a BM. On Tuesday he had 2 BMs and so now his name is Stinky. I am trying to get her to call him Nain. She will repeat Nain after I tell her that is his name, but when you ask her his name she will say Stinky.

After about an hour or two they were ready for naps. I got Hasnain asleep first, then Kaitlynn. Hasnain only slept an hour. Kaitlynn didn't sleep much longer because she heard him up.

My mom called and said she was at the Humane Society with Beth (the lady she babysits for and helps out). She said she was interested in getting this puppy that was a beagle and pug mix. I told her to go ahead if she wanted it. Kaitlynn and I had to go see the new puppy and welcome her into the family. She is a designer dog, a puggle. I can't believe my mom got her from the Humane Society. She is 8 months old and is potty trained. They weren't sure if she is good with kids, but she was great with Kaitlynn.

Isn't she adorable? Her name is Sassy.

Kaitlynn Goes to Preschool (and The Magic House)

Wednesday the Mommy and Toddler Playgroup went to The Magic House. We met Casey and Addison, Eileen and Gabe and Tara and Bailey. The kids were running all over the place. It was pretty crowded in the younger kids area so we went to explore the new expansion. Kaitlynn, Gabe and Bailey had a good time playing in the Once Upon A Time room.

Before we left, I took Kaitlynn in the bathroom to change her diaper. I gave Kaitlynn the diaper to hold and she threw it in the toilet. Little stinker! Of course, I didnt bring in another diaper!

I delivered Avon to a lady at my mom's work. She works at a preschool on Wednesdays.
Kaitlynn and I stayed at preschool. Kaitlynn did well with the other kids, except the idiot girl that ran her down with a tri-cycle. After preschool, we went with my mom to the Humane Society. It was closed for a staff meeting. We also went Monday and it was closed due to the holiday. My mom really wants a dog. Monday night we looked on CraigsList and found one. My mom was supposed to pick the dog up this Friday, but the man emailed my mom and said they "re-homed the dog". Stupid idiot for changing his mind and breaking the deal with my mom! She has been through enough. Since we couldn't look at dogs, we just went back to my mom's and ate dinner. We looked on CraigsList again for a dog, but didn't really find one that she wanted.

Babysit and Avon Meeting

Tuesday, Maryam came over with Hasnain to meet me. She stayed about a half hour and then left to go to school. Hasnain is 12 months old and such a cutie. Kaitlynn was OK with him, but didn't want him touching certain toys. She would yell "mine". I would tell her, "yes it is yours, but you have to share it." After about an hour, Hasnain and Kaitlynn were ready to take a nap. I held Hasnain in my arms and put Kaitlynn on my shoulder to get them to sleep. They only slept about 45 minutes because Kaitlynn woke up crying with her tummy. After their naps, they had a snack and we went downstairs to play. I watched him for about 5 hours.

After Hasnain left, Kaitlynn fell asleep. I normally don't let her take naps so late in the day, but she was really fussy and tired.

Tara came over and we drove to the Avon meeting together. For attending the meeting, we got a full size sample of Total Radiance skincare and samples of a perfume that is coming out soon. I also got to choose a gift for my birthday and 2 for a drawing for taking some stock ups.
Kaitlynn was asleep when I got home. Dave said she was fussy the whole time I was gone. He was afraid she was getting sick.

Play Land

Monday this lady was supposed to come over to meet me and talk to me about watching her son on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She left a message saying that she couldn't come over, but would call me later that day. Kaitlynn and I went to my mom's. I promised Auggie that the next time he was at my mom's, we would go play at McDonald's play land. Kaitlynn and I went to my mom's since she was watching both Auggie and Elliott. Auggie wasn't feeling good so his parents came to pick him up. My mom and I took Kaitlynn and Elliott to play at the play land. While we were there, the lady called me about babysitting. We talked about the hours, rates etc. She said she would come over Tuesday to meet me and then leave her son with me since she starts school and needs someone to watch him Tuesday. She also said she was interested in signing up to sell Avon. Yeah, my first recruit!!

Avon and Casa

Saturday the 17th, my mom called to tell us that the puppy she was supposed to get from my sister was dead. It apparently chewed on a cord and was electrocuted. Kaitlynn and I delivered Avon and then met my mom and Aunt Tommy at my grandma's. My mom seemed to be doing OK with the news about the puppy. Dave met us at my grandma's and we all went to Casa Gallardo for dinner. My Uncle Dale, grandma and Aunt Sue had never ate at Casa before. We had a good dinner.

Later that night I baked some banana nut muffins in my heart silicone muffin baking pan.
They turned out pretty good.

Monkey Joe's and The Magic House

Friday the 16th, we went to Monkey Joe's with some friends. We met Tara and Bailey and Kim and McKenzie there. The girls had a good time. There was actually a few areas that were just for toddlers. Of course the girls wanted to play in the bigger kids areas, too.

Kaitlynn and Bailey loved sitting in the car. Except both wanted to turn the steering wheel. At one point, Bailey had her hands on the wheel and was head butting Kaitlynn and Kaitlynn had her hands on the wheel and was trying to bite Bailey.
McKenzie and Kaitlynn

Kaitlynn met this girl (who was probably about 6 years old) and they became instant friends. Kaitlynn won her over with a hug. She went with Kaitlynn in the big kid areas. They were climbing up this to get to a slide and Kaitlynn couldn't get up it as fast as the 6 year old, so this bigger girl (I guess she was 10 years old) helped her. I waited and waited what seemed like forever for them to come down from the slide. Just as I was about to freak out, I saw the 10 year old. But wait, Kaitlynn wasn't with her and the 10 year old was crying. I ran over to her and asked her where the little girl was, she said she was still up on top. I was totally freaking out and about to go in after her, when this other girl said her and her friend would go get Kaitlynn. I told her to hurry up. Then thankfully when I looked back in the 6 year old had brought her down. Kaitlynn was fine. I was about to have a heart attack. There were some really big kids there and some of them were kind of rough.
Kaitlynn only liked Monkey Joe from a distance. She wouldn't stand by him for a picture.
After Monkey Joe's, we went to my mom's. My mom was at work, but my Aunt Tommy came over. She was staying with my mom over the weekend.
Kaitlynn passed out on the way to The Magic House.
We met Dave at The Magic House. They offered free admission so we wanted to take advantage of it. We hadn't taken Kaitlynn yet, but didn't want to pay $7.50 for each of us to get in.
Kaitlynn's name is on the constitution!
Kaitlynn slept for the first hour or so we were there.

The following pictures are from the new addition, Once Upon A Time.

We had a good time and it wasn't too crowded with the free admissions. I think we will definitely go back on another free night.
By the way, McDonald's has free lattes on Fridays. I took advantage of this great offer several times!! They are really good. I like the hazelnut and the caramel.
