Avon announced that it will be committing $1 million for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. The Avon Foundation for Women plans to distribute the donations to the American Red Cross International Response Fund and Doctors Without Borders.

Best Compliment

Tuesday night while I was at the Avon picnic, I received one of the best compliments. Tara told me that when I looked up at her my eyes looked just like Kaitlynn's. What do you say when you are told you resemble the most beautiful little girl ever??!!!

New Tricycle, New Baby, Grant's Farm Oh My

Sunday we had a busy day planned. But you know how that goes...

Kaitlynn, MawMaw and I met MawMaw Tommie for dinner.
MawMaw Tommie bought Kaitlynn a Radio Flyer tricycle. We couldn't believe it, but Kaitlynn was pedaling it as soon as she sat on it. As soon as I got the camera out, she stopped pedaling and put her feet on the ground. I think this is the best gift she has ever received. She held onto it while driving home. She even wanted to sleep with it, but we talked her out of it.

Monday we went to MawMaw's house. Kaitlynn loves her new baby that MawMaw bought her on Saturday.

Kaitlynn slept through dinner, so we took her to McDonald's to eat dinner and play since we were out and about. Plus she loves the Ice Age toys in the Happy Meals.

Tuesday Kaitlynn, Olivia and I met some friends at Grant's Farm.

Kaitlynn, Bailey, McKenzie and Addison had a good time together.

Kaitlynn, Olivia and I rode the carousel. I couldn't wait for the ride to be over. I just can't take spinning around like that. It didn't bother Kaitlynn or Olivia, though. In fact, Kaitlynn wanted to go again.

Zoo Friends' Day

Thursday the 7th Kaitlynn and I delivered Avon, then went to my mom's. She was watching Elliott, so we took the kids to Burger King. Kaitlynn and Elliott had fun playing in the play area and met a couple of new friends. We took my mom to a dental appointment and then went to the mall play area for the kids to play.

Friday the 8th started Dave's vacation from work. I watched Olivia. It was Zoo Friends' Day so that afternoon (after it stopped raining), we went the Zoo. We rode the train first.

Then we visited the new Caribbean Cove. It was only open to Zoo members that day. The Caribbean Cove is home to 32 stingrays. Dave and I pet a few of them. Kaitlynn would put her hand in the water, but as soon as one would start to swim near her, she would jerk her hand out of the water.

Kaitlynn had fun creating some artwork. She made a sea picture and a stingray. I'll have to take pictures and post them later, because she did an awesome job!

We saw the sea lions, big cats, zebras, giraffes, and donkeys.

Then stopped to watch this beautiful peacock.

We saw the prairie dogs

and watched this brown bear carry a rubber tub up a tree.

What a wonderful family day!!

Motor Developers and Avon

Wednesday Kaitlynn and I attended Motor Developers class. The theme this week was sports. Kaitlynn wore her Cardinals t-shirt and a pair of tennis shoes to class. Before we left the house, she saw her flip flops. She was so upset that I wouldn't let her wear them. We had to bring them with us. I wanted her to wear tennis shoes to class because of the theme being sports. I knew they would be kicking and doing other activities like that. After class, we hung out with Emily, Ella, Tara, Bailey, Eileen, Gabe, Stephanie and Payton.

Later we went to my mom's where we ran some errands, had dinner and went shopping.

I was supposed to appoint a lady to Avon, but she had to reschedule. I have 3 people to appoint next week!!!

Last Week in April

Monday, April 27th, I watched Olivia. Kaitlynn, Olivia and I went to the ECC for Playground Pizzazz. The activity was held indoors because of the rain. Kaitlynn's friend Bailey was also there. The older kids were in the gym. It got a little rambunctious in the gym, so we went upstairs into one of the rooms (where the younger kids were).

After the activity, we went to preschool to pick my mom up, then went to a Christian bookstore and back to my house to wait for Olivia's mom. After Meghan came, we went to dinner and to my mom's. Kaitlynn looks forward to seeing Sassy so much. She asks about Sassy and MawMaw every day.

Tuesday the 28th, I watched Olivia. We missed the CBW playdate.

Wednesday the 29th, Kaitlynn and I attended Motor Developers class. The theme was farm. We stayed and hung out with Eileen, Gabe, Tara and Bailey. The kids mainly played at the train tables.

Kaitlynn and I went to my mom's. My mom watched Kaitlynn so that I could attend an Avon meeting. The meeting was about President's Club and Leadership.

Thursday the 30th, I watched Olivia. Bethany and her 2 boys, Jaden and Leto, came over because I am going to start watching her boys (every once in awhile). I met Bethany from the CBW Playgroup. They weren't able to stay long because they were preparing for a move and I had to get Kaitlynn and Olivia to my mom's. My mom watched the girls for a few hours for me.

Caged

Monday Kaitlynn and I did some things around the house. I called a friend and had a really good and long conversation with her. You know sometimes I rely on email too much. After the phone call, I realized how important a phone call is, especially every now and then. I really enjoyed talking to her and catching up. We always have good phone conversations. I need to stop relying on email so much.

Kaitlynn and I had to turn some products in for a study we are doing. Then I had to take my traffic ticket to the lawyer. We went to the Dollar Store and then to my mom's work (preschool). Kaitlynn got to spend a few minutes with Elliott.

We went to my mom's where Kaitlynn and Sassy played outside. I got some really cute pictures of them. Kaitlynn has so much fun playing with Sassy. She loves that dog so much and that dog loves her too.

My mom watched Kaitlynn while I attended an Avon meeting. The meeting was good and I won some great stuff.

Spring Dress

Monday I cleaned some of the house - vacuumed and straightened up actually. I also had to visit an Avon customer that lives nearby to get her order for this campaign. I couldn't get Kaitlynn to take a nap, so we just went to my mom's. I figured she would fall asleep on the way. And thankfully she did. My mom and I ran some errands while she slept, then went to dinner and did some shopping. I talked to a lady about babysitting her little girl. We are supposed to meet on Wednesday. I hope it works out because this is my last week watching Hasnain. I need to find something to replace that income.

Tires

Monday I watched Whitney all day (for 7 hours). She is a pretty good baby. Kaitlynn loves having her over and likes to help with her. We were going to visit my mom, but on the way I needed to pick up some Avon brochures. While driving, something seemed weird, but I didn't think anything of it. After picking up the Avon brochures, something still didn't seem right so I pulled over and checked the tires. The front passenger tire was flat! Thankfully we were close to home. I pulled over after calling Dave to wait for him to take the flat tire off and replace it with the spare. While I was waiting, a police officer pulled up next to me. He waited with me and then after a few minutes asked if I had a jack and a spare tire. He started working on taking off the flat tire, while we waited for Dave. Luckily, I brought a bottle (already made) for Whitney. She drank it and fell asleep. I was parked in front of a house with 2 dogs, so Kaitlynn stayed pretty busy talking about the dogs. The police officer gave Kaitlynn a D.A.R.E. sticker and a "hug-a-bear" stuffed toy.

I was worried about being at home with Whitney and Kaitlynn all day long, but we had a good day. Whitney slept for 2 hours, while Kaitlynn and I had lunch and I called about new tires. We decided to get 4 new tires, instead of just having the one fixed. It is just time to get them all replaced.

After Matt picked Whitney up, Kaitlynn and I ate dinner and laid down. We were both exhausted and I didn't care that it wasn't bedtime. I was hoping Kaitlynn might be out for the night, but she woke up a few hours later. She went back to sleep a few hours later and was out for the night.

It's Finally Down

Sunday the 25th, after playing Wii Fit (of course), we finally took down the Christmas decorations. I know, I can't believe we left the decorations up that long. We were just really busy and hadn't had time to take them down. The house looks so nice and less crowded (almost empty) without the Christmas decorations up. I put the Valentine's Day decorations out. I like decorating for the holidays or seasons. It's a fun way to celebrate. And I get to showcase my Avon products.
