Babysitting Mama

Friday, May 1st, I watched Jaden and Leto in the morning. We played in the basement playroom because it was too wet to play outside. Jaden is 4 years old and Leto is 18 months old. Kaitlynn had fun having them over.

After the boys left, we had just enough time to eat lunch and then Whitney came over. She has gotten so big since I last saw her. She is 7 months old now. She was so excited to see Kaitlynn.

Dave got home from work and we ordered Imo's Pizza (my favorite) for dinner.
Saturday the 2nd, Dave, Kaitlynn and I went to my mom's. We went to Wal-Mart and then she treated us to El Maguey's for dinner.

Last Week in April

Monday, April 27th, I watched Olivia. Kaitlynn, Olivia and I went to the ECC for Playground Pizzazz. The activity was held indoors because of the rain. Kaitlynn's friend Bailey was also there. The older kids were in the gym. It got a little rambunctious in the gym, so we went upstairs into one of the rooms (where the younger kids were).

After the activity, we went to preschool to pick my mom up, then went to a Christian bookstore and back to my house to wait for Olivia's mom. After Meghan came, we went to dinner and to my mom's. Kaitlynn looks forward to seeing Sassy so much. She asks about Sassy and MawMaw every day.

Tuesday the 28th, I watched Olivia. We missed the CBW playdate.

Wednesday the 29th, Kaitlynn and I attended Motor Developers class. The theme was farm. We stayed and hung out with Eileen, Gabe, Tara and Bailey. The kids mainly played at the train tables.

Kaitlynn and I went to my mom's. My mom watched Kaitlynn so that I could attend an Avon meeting. The meeting was about President's Club and Leadership.

Thursday the 30th, I watched Olivia. Bethany and her 2 boys, Jaden and Leto, came over because I am going to start watching her boys (every once in awhile). I met Bethany from the CBW Playgroup. They weren't able to stay long because they were preparing for a move and I had to get Kaitlynn and Olivia to my mom's. My mom watched the girls for a few hours for me.

First Trip to Grant's Farm this Season

Saturday, April 25th, we went to a walk for Dave's work. Kaitlynn loved seeing all the dogs in the park. She especially loved this huge dog named Journey. Journey's owner was really nice and couldn't get over Kaitlynn. She said she couldn't believe Kaitlynn was only 2 and was so curious, smart and talkative.

After the walk, we went to Grant's Farm. The wait to get from the parking lot across the street to Grant's Farm wasn't bad considering it was only there second weekend open this season.
Waiting for the tram ride
Kaitlynn has an excellent memory. On the tram ride, she asked about seeing the turtles. I told her there aren't any turtles at Grant's Farm, then I remembered that they have 2 tortoises. I couldn't believe she remembered that from last year!
Feeding the goats
They have added a carousel, but we didn't ride it. They have the guinea pig area locked so that the kids can't go in anymore. Kaitlynn kept trying to climb over the fence. She was so confused as to why she couldn't go in the pen. It was surprising that they locked this area, but I guess something happened last season. Another thing they changed this year is that they don't sell the Grant's Farm cups or honor the one's from previous years. So there are no refills, unless you buy a drink that day.
Kaitlynn actually fed a camel, but got freaked out and made daddy feed the camel the rest of the food.
We ate lunch and had our free AB drinks. They only offer free beer this year. They no longer have the other free alcoholic beverages. I am just glad they still offer the free beer. I was afraid they were going to change that, too.
We went to my mom's to visit. Kaitlynn played out in the yard with Sassy then we ate dinner.

Zoo Playdate

Thursday the 23rd, Kaitlynn and I met the CBW Playgroup at the Zoo. Eight moms and their babies came. The Zoo was packed. Every school seemed to decide it was a perfect field trip day. We saw the prairie dogs, big cats, zebras, giraffes, apes and gorillas.
Then we rode the carousel. Kaitlynn said she wanted to ride on a tiger, but when it was time to choose an animal to ride, she chose the bench. She feels more comfortable on the bench.
The group started breaking up after that because it was lunch time and some of the babies were ready for naps. We saw the bears and penguins, then went to get some poppy (popcorn) for Kaitlynn and headed out.
Kaitlynn and I took my mom to the dentist. I watched Elliott while she was in the appointment.

My mom watched Kaitlynn that evening for Dave and me. Kaitlynn has so much fun at my mom's.

Earth Day

I watched Olivia on the 20th. Kaitlynn, Olivia and I took my mom to her follow-up appointment with her doctor from the ER visit. After Olivia went home, we had dinner and went to Babies R Us.

I watched Olivia on the 21st, as well. We went to my mom's so that Kaitlynn could play with Elliott. I also had to pick up her purse that we left at Babies R Us the night before. Thankfully they found it. Kaitlynn kept asking about her purse and money.

The 22nd was Earth Day. Kaitlynn wore the perfect shirt - it said Happy Earth. Kaitlynn attended Motor Developers class. Her friends Gabe, Bailey, Ella and Payton are also in the class. Her teacher is the same teacher as last years Motor Explorers class. We stayed and hung out with Eileen and Gabe after class.
When we got home Kaitlynn played in the backyard.
Trying to get Bailey to come into the castle with her.
After playing in the yard, we picked up my mom from work, ran some errands and then had dinner.
Kaitlynn also had her toe nails painted pink. Her big toes have a butterfly nail decal on them, so that she could be like mommy.

Double Ear Infection

Saturday the 18th, we took Kaitlynn to the pediatrician because she woke up in the middle of the night complaining about her ear hurting. She had a double ear infection! It's weird because last year (in March she got her first ear infection) and now this year she has one. I hope she doesn't start getting them every year (to start the spring off). I guess having 2 ear infections at the age of 26 months isn't bad, though!

We missed the ECC On the Go activity due to going to the pediatrician. Kaitlynn said she felt well enough and acted fine, so we went to Bailey's birthday party. It was at Gymboree. Kaitlynn got Bailey a chest with dress up clothing.
Maraca time!
Kaitlynn and Bailey dancing.
Kaitlynn and Mackenzie popping bubbles.
Kaitlynn and Gabe catching bubbles.
Yes, Kaitlynn is sitting on the parachute! I am so glad that she likes it now. In her class last year, she hated the parachute.

Babysitting and MNO

On April 13th, I watched Olivia. Kaitlynn had a cough, runny nose and was having some tummy trouble. Tuesday the 14th, we missed the CBW playdate at the mall due to Kaitlynn not feeling well. I was tired from being at the hospital with my mom on the 12th, too. These reasons also lead us to miss the first Motor Developers class at the ECC on the 15th. Thursday the 16th, Kaitlynn and I went to my mom's to watch Elliott while she went to the dentist. Dave watched Kaitlynn that evening so I could go out with the moms from the CBW group. We got pedicures at the mall and then went to the Cheesecake Factory. We had a great time.
We were going to get a group shot of our toes, but that would have been tough considering the group we had. There were 12 to 16 of us.
Friday the 17th, I watched Olivia and we went to my mom's.
